An article on the australian site suggests wireless internet services may be the death of the NBN. If that’s so I think people are missing the point of the NBN or maybe I am. Check it out…..
For more information on the NBN check this out…..http://www.nbnco.com.au/
NBN = 100Mb/sec to 93% of Australian Premises.
Yet Vodafone, one of Australia’s largest mobile/3G networks has a wireless starter pack for $49 for 3GBs of data use. This is fine if you only send the occasional email but if you actually use the internet for business 3GBs may not last you very long, especially if you use video or need to access multiple databases remotely. A broadband network is not just the web and hasn’t been for the better part of a decade.
Few ISPs can boast the sort of speed the NBN is providing or will provide. Australia still lags behind the rest of the world as far as internet broadband is concerned. As an interesting comparison check this out:

It’s also interesting to note that these wireless alternatives work on an antiquated cellular network which though it is being upgraded was not designed to host the data services people are expecting. It is also interesting that in the event of a natural disaster like the floods we have just experienced the mobile network was and still is affected. My Cable internet access remains rock solid and fast, fast, fast.
