Quick Troubleshooting Network Connectivity problem

Every now and then in windows 10 I boot my PC and can’t connect to the internet. Here’s how I fix it.

Step 1: Go to device manager.

Step 2: Check Network Device Driver

Step 3: If you find an exclamation mark (which I typically do), right click on it

Step 4: Left click “Refresh devices”

This typically clears the error condition by refreshing and re-enumerating the device and I can connect to the internet again.  Failing this you can remove it and restart or reinstall your LAN drivers.

Max Payne 3

OK so I just finished Max Payne 3 and I must say, I love it.  Lot’s of fast paced action and a great story line that really pushes the boundaries a bit.  For me it’s the best of the three for action, game play and story.  You start as a body guard babysitting some rich kids when the shit goes down at a party and you are attacked by paramilitary goons.  The action does not stop from that moment on, it goes from kidnap and rescue to intrigue and revenge.  All the while the air is full of bullets, explosions and entrails.  You definitely need to play this game.

Bioshock Infinite is worlds of fun.

How interesting shortly after reading The Long Earth that I should get Bioshock infinite and find that a theme in that book is a theme in this game.  I’m not going to give it away but any fan of the Bioshock games will enjoy this, I must admit, I was a little sceptical at first, but once I sunk my teeth into it it’s a lot of fun, though it takes a little getting used to. No more EVE, it’s Salts now, no adam either, plasmids are vigours, and instead of a bunch of crazy splicers it’s like you’re single handedly fighting the american civil war.

It’s also heavy on the brainwashing of the masses, it’s like when you see a news story about a cult in America that lives out in the sticks and thinks it’ll be fun to drink some poison, you know, just for shits and giggles.  If you’re into Quantum Physics you’ll enjoy it too.

I’m back!

That’s right, I’m back online, blogging away with my new PC, I’ve been busy gaming like crazy, playing a lot of far cry 3, Skyrim etc, currently I’m hanging out for bioshock infinite and tomb raider, just need to save some cash.

Friday

One of the greatest low budget films of the 1990s would have to be Friday, starring Ice Cube and Chris Tucker. Set in south central LA this hilarious comedy shows a day in the life of two friends, Craig and Smokey and the events that unfold over the course of one day. Central to the story is an unfortunate loss of work, the smoking of a lot of weed and an angry drug dealer who wants his money. Craig and smokey have until 10pm to come up with the money or they’re dead as disco. It’s a classic, find it, you won’t be disappointed.

Explorers of Gor

Tarl Cabot is at it again, enlisted in a mission by friend, fellow captain and agent of Priest Kings Samos, first slaver of Port Kar, Tarl must journey to the ends of known Gor to retrieve a stolen ring, one that bestows on it’s wearer a cloak of invisibility, but there is a catch, there is a duplicate ring, one that if returned to the Sardar will spell the doom of Priest Kings and the destruction of Gor.  Along the way Tarl encounters friends and foes alike and learns something more of the nature of Goreans.  Of course there are more slave girls and encounters with wild beasts, treachery and revenge, the reclaiming of honor and some insight into the burden of being Ubar.  As usual it left me wanting more, it’s a great story.
